Year-end / New Year Holiday Notice
The Miyajima Traditional Crafts Center will be closed for the year-end and New Year holidays from Monday, December 29, 2025, through Saturday, January 3, 2026. All hands-on experiences will be suspended during this period.
The Center will reopen on Sunday, January 4, 2026. Please note that Monday, January 5, 2026, is our regular weekly closing day, so the Center will be closed on that date.
Reopening dates for each hands-on experience are as follows:
- Shakushi (rice-paddle) Making Experience — from Sunday, January 4, 2026
- Momiji-manju Hand-Baking Experience — from Wednesday, January 7, 2026
- Miyajima-bori Woodcarving Experience — from Wednesday, January 14, 2026
