Notice: “The Forms of Miyajima Rokuro” Exhibition

From Friday, February 13, 2026, the first floor of the Miyajima Traditional Crafts Center will host “The Forms of Miyajima Rokuro Turnery 2025.”

This exhibition showcases works by third-year students in the Lacquer Art program, Department of Design and Crafts, Faculty of Arts, Hiroshima City University. The pieces were created to present the students’ learning outcomes from the 2025 “Community-Engaged Art Project.” The works on display were produced after the students learned directly from Mr. Satoru Fujimoto, a certified Traditional Craftsman specializing in Miyajima Rokuro Turnery and a member of our association.

The exhibition will be on display through Wednesday, February 25, 2026. If you are visiting Miyajima while the exhibition is running, please feel free to stop by.
